Language schools and courses in Kaliningrad.

I am going to tell you about some language schools and courses where you can go for a work after graduating from our university or just to be informed about these schools. First of all during my search I examined several languages that are taught at these organizations. These are English, German, French, Spanish and Italian with native speakers, Swedish, Czech, Polish, Turkish, Japanese, Chinese, Lithuanian and Portuguese.

The first school that I want to present is the school of English language Englishberry. The address is Ozerova str. 19. The studying is divided by the following way:

-English for kids

-English for teenagers

-Preparation for the Russian State Exam

-English for adults

The other one is the school of languages “Welcome” which is situated at the Square of victory,4. Apart from teaching languages this school also offers translations and preparation for international exams. There are some videos about this school and their methods on the website welcome.39.ru.

The next organization is The Centre of foreign languages Top Level. I also liked their website toplevel39.ru where you can find a lot of useful information for you especially some online tests and even online teaching. This centre is also selling a great amount of books.

The next place is the school named “Expert” on Gendelya str. 5A. Unfortunately their website is temporarily closed now and I wasn’t able to find anything special but you can contact them by number 992205.

The following centre is very known among us,it’s the World of Education, World’s Avenue 114. I recommend you to visit their website too because there are plenty  of things that are offered there from courses to such programs as Work and Travel and Au Pair and holidays abroad.

And finally what concerns the last school I didn’t find any special except for teaching languages. This school is Cambridge which is situated at 21,Teatralnaya str.

The funny thing is that this school has some entertaining activities such as watching English films and thematic parties with native speakers every Saturday.

Nowadays we can see some discussions whether to reconstruct the Castle or not. And my opinion is following: I don't think that we should reconstruct this building  because it will cost great sums of money. Without any doubt it will become a proud of our city but I've read that a lot of citizens are against of this offer because they are sure that if we reconstruct  this old Prussian Castle we will return an atmosphere of Prussian times. It's not bad but people will associate this Castle with Hitler's times. It's not a fiction. I have really seen this statement on the Kaliningrad web page.
As for money outlays I'm sure that we have a lot of problems with money to cope with. I think we should spend it on repairing hospitals, roads for instance because the majority of citizens is not satisfied with their conditions.
As for culture features as I already mentioned we'll return Prussian's atmosphere and I suppose that we shouldn't do it because our city is already steeped by the air of ancient times.
And the last thing I want to underline that it is only my opinion and I'm sure that not everybody will agree with me but let it be just my own point of view.

Koenigsberg Castle today

Despite the fact that the Castle is absolutely destroyed it continue to live. There were a lot of excavations with visible results.
In 1993 archaeologists  discovered a foundation of western wing. The area of excavations is more than 3000 square meters.

Since 2001 a Deutch  magazine "Der Spiegel" has financed the excavation of parts of the basement which was carried out with the Kaliningrad Art Museum. Hamburg's journalists are also interested in history and reconstruction.

It's hoped that various buried treasures of the previous Castle museum will be found and possibly the rest of the Amber Room.
In June 2005 an occult silver casket with medals and amulets was found. It caused a sensation among experts.

In 2005 with the help of the government all excavations were protected from precipitations.

What can we see nowadays?
There is a view area where you can see various exhibitions and some traces of the past. A huge collection of historical things was found during all excavation works. There are spears, knives, swords, jewelry, stone cones.
